R.J. Crowther Jr. (Rob Crowther, to his friends) is a horror writer in San Diego. His first novel, CRUCIFER, is currently making the rounds. His second novel, "Blood Bound" is nearing completion. He attended the University of Californa, San Diego, where he earned his degree in History with minors in Human Physiology and Political Science, and later did advanced work in English Literature. He counts among his major writing influences, Clive Barker, E. A. Poe, Herman Melville, Lovecraft, William S. Buroughs and Hemingway. Major intellectual influences: C.J. Jung, Desmond Morris, Mircea Elidae, Joseph Campbell, and Nietzsche. Major artistic influences, H.R. Giger, Francis Bacon, Gaudi, Joel-Peter Witkin, and Gothic Architecture. At one time he was a candidate for the Episcopal priesthood, before his shadow took him by the hand.
